About Becoming a Volunteer

Step 1 – Complete and submit the online application (scroll below to Volunteer Opportunities).

Step 2 – One on One interview assessment with our Manager of Volunteers, if ready you will be invited to our training.

Step 3 – Full completion of the volunteer training. Additional training and assessment is required for those who wish to be peer bereavement or Camp Keaton volunteers.

Volunteer Guidelines

We understand the profound transition and change that comes about when we are bereaved or are a recipient of our service.  As a best practice, we have a waiting time before your application can be accepted. For those bereaved within the last year, we ask that you take the time for one year to grieve before applying. We also require those receiving service to wait three months from the last day of service before applying.

Kitchen

Volunteers, under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, help with cooking, baking, dishwashing, cleaning and serving meals to residents and day program participants.
